This product is not available

Wool is a great foundation fiber, but is doesn’t stop there. Natural fibers mixed together create wonderful blends that produce lovely finished items. This workshop explores different types of natural fiber including mohair, angora, alpaca/llama, cashmere, bison, silk, and purebred and crossbred wool. We’ll examine how to adjust your spinning wheel and spinning techniques to best spin the fiber in hand. We’ll spin fibers individually and blended variations. We’ll compare the different fiber characteristics, spinning techniques, and the end use of the yarns we spin.

Class Level: Students should be able to spin a single consistent yarn.

Participants Should Bring: A working spinning wheel, bobbins, and niddy noddy.
