Corespinning techniques open up a whole new world of possibilities for handspun yarn. Using wire as a core opens up even more of those possibilities, but also it's own unique set of challenges. In this workshop we will focus upon tips that make this tricky technique a breeze, plying techniques with wire, and how your finished flexible yarns can be used.
Class Limit: 12 Class Level: Intermediate
Participants Should Bring: A spinning wheel in good working order set up in Scotch or Irish tension if possible.
Homework: a handspun single, textural or thick and thin will work best
Material Fee: $12.00 Covers 1 oz. of spinning fiber and one spool of 40 yds of 28 G wire, handouts will also be provided
