#233 Origami Shibori Bengala Dye

As a result of being from the soil, Bengala, a mud dye made of Iron oxide, is capable of returning to the soil. You will dye by kneading the dye into the material. Participants will learn about the history and cultural significance of this unique dyeing form as they dye material. You can choose the materials from scarves, shawls socks and fees will be charged. You can also bring your own if you’d like. ( dye fee will be charged depends on the weight)

Class Limit: 12 Class Level: All Levels

Participants Should Bring: plastic bags for taking home their dyed material, towels (bigger is better), for ringing out excess water, that you don’t mind getting dye on as well as a hand towel. Aprons and gloves are optional. Material Fee: $8.00 to $15.00
