Using the continuous strand weaving (CSW) method on the 3' triangle loom, participants will learn the 2/2 twill in combination with plain weave, color changes, and planning techniques. Seaming and finishing techniques will be covered. The completed fabric may be made into a bag, pillow cover or an accessory scarf. Printed handouts and instructions will be provided. It is highly recommended that participants have experience with CSW. Weavers may vary their designs. Felting the bag is optional and will be demonstrated.

Participants Should Bring: Yarn – worsted weight, wool, two contrasting colors - one may be variegated. Approximately 110 total yards will be needed for weaving and 15-20 yards for finishing. Basic CSW tools –, Loom Stand, (if you have one), Locker hook with large tapestry eye or size G or H crochet hook, Weaving pick (hair pick), Scissors, Felting needle or large yarn needle, Basket – size to contain yarn while weaving.
Material Fee: $10.00 rental for the 36” Triangle Loom. This fee may be applied toward the purchase price of the loom ($80.). The instructor will have yarn available at cost. Please notify the instructor if you are providing your own loom – firstname.lastname@example.org
