Carol’s interest in fiber and fabric began while growing up on a Michigan farm. She came from a family of makers where she developed an artisan’s spirit. Carol’s fiber passion soared while raising a small herd of alpacas and llamas, and now together with her husband operates Cross Wind Farm where they primarily raise longwool sheep. Carol crossbreeds the purebred sheep to study new variations of wool. Carol holds a Master Spinner Certificate from Olds College and is immersed in shepherding, shearing, handspinning, dyeing, and loves antique spinning wheels. Visit www.crosswindfarm.com.
