Skill level: Advanced beginners – student needs to know how to warp & weave on their loom.
Workshop Description: Rigid Heddle looms are great for pick-up patterns. Using a pick-up stick or two greatly increases the possibilities of creating patterns. We will begin with the basics of weaving pick-up, move into weft and warp floats and creative things to do with the floats. If there is time we will try some supplementary warp techniques.
Participants should bring: A pre-warped rigid heddle loom using 3/2 mercerized (pearl) cotton sett at 10 dpi and aprox 8” wide. 2 pickup sticks, 2 shuttles, yarn for weft that is the same as yarn for warp. Also bring basic weaving tools. Questions? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
