(332) The Good Fleece
Fiber festivals are great places to buy fleeces but the choices can be overwhelming. In this class we’ll look at a variety of fleeces and learn how to evaluate them for handspinning. We’ll review a fleece competition scorecard and describe how it is used when judging fleece competitions. We’ll evaluate soundness, lock structure, and overall consistency from a judge’s perspective. We’ll refer to the The Field Guide to Fleece so if you have a copy bring it along. After this class you'll look at fleeces in a whole new way.
