Skill level:  Beginner

Workshop Description: Day 1 we go through introductions, history of Scandinavian skinnfells, materials, sheepskins and a little bit about qualities of different materials. I teach 3 basic techniques for participants to practice before we head on to their own project in the afternoon day 1.

Day 2 contains more details about finishing of sheepskin coverlet, techniques for wood block printing and all participants will also print on their own project.

Students should bring: : Thimble, Sharp scissors, 6” x 24” quilt ruler

Material Fee: $30  Includes: Needles, Threads, clips. Extra cost for sheep skin, $250 or $500 depending on size/quality.
