Skill level:  Intermediate experience level is recommended for this class.  

Workshop Description: This unique garter stitch cuff can be seen on mittens in both Estonia and Latvia. The cuff is worked flat using short rows. Any short row method can be used but we will cover the German short row method in class. After knitting the cuff, it is joined in a circle and stitches are picked up along one edge to continue knitting a mitten, sock, or hat, in the round.

Students should bring:  Three colors of sport-weight yarn, a set of size 2 needles (straight or double point), and one size 3 or 4 needle (used only for cast-on).
