#103 Dawn Edwards Felt Bird Pods Full Day Wednesdy $100
#103 Dawn Edwards Felt Bird Pods Full Day Wednesday 9am - 4pm
Bldg. 7 South West $100
Skill: All Levels
Workshop Descriptions: Come and enjoy a fun day of wet-felting as you create a felted bird pod which is sure to be a hit with your feathered friends, such as Wrens, Nuthatches, and Chickadees, who will use them for shelter and/or nesting. Using naturally water-repellent wool, we’ll explore the magic of felting. You’ll discover how wool fibers transform from flat shapes into sculptural forms—the very same techniques used to create hats, bags, and slippers. Along the way, you’ll gain confidence in working with resists, shaping, and finishing your bird pod.
Whether you’re a bird lover, a felt-making enthusiast, or simply curious to try a new craft, this workshop offers the perfect mix of creativity, function, and a touch of whimsy. By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a felt bird pod that blends art with nature—ready to hang outdoors for your feathered friends (or enjoy indoors as a decorative piece).
