#102 Heidi Bukoski—A Shibori To Wear  Full Day Wednesday 9am-4 pm  Pavilion North  $100  

Skill level:  Beginner

Workshop Description:  Shibori, the Japanese art of stitching and binding, is used to create patterns, designs, or representations of nature. Students will choose either a regular tee shirt or a slightly cropped version to work on. With guidance and examples from the instructor they will create their own unique design and determine which stitches or wrapping techniques to use to produce the desired effects. When all is stitched and bound it will be dipped into an indigo dye bath where you can watch the magic happen.

Students should bring:  Rubber gloves, small, sharp scissors or a seam ripper, reading glasses if you use them.
