#209 Joan Sheridan – Weave a Flock of Sheep: Turned Krokbragd on the Inkle Loom Full day Thursday $100
Skill level: Must be comfortable warping and weaving a plain weave band using the inkle loom.
Workshop Description: A good next step after learning plain weave on the inkle is to weave turned krokbragd. This technique is derived from floor loom weaving and is Scandinavian in origin. It is a loom controlled weave, so it is easy to weave. The magic happens in the set up. In this class you will learn how to read a pattern, set up the loom, and weave.
Students should bring: A standard-sized inkle loom (mini looms are not well-suited to this technique), scissors, #10 crochet cotton for heddles (both double and continuous). Preferred looms are Schacht or large Ashford or similar looms.
Homework: Make 30 double heddles. Visit this link for a tutorial: https://youtu.be/im8tIcUZhzM where you will also find a link to an accompanying PDF.
Material Fee: $25 Yarn, handouts, keychain hardware, and other helpful weaving accessories.
Class Limit: 12
