Skill level: Intermediate.  Should be able to spin a consistent single yarn and know how to adjust wheel.

Workshop Description:  Have you ever been curious about spinning art yarns? If you can spin a simple single, you're ready to explore some of the most beautiful varns We'll learn various single techniques, including core spinning, one of the most versatile methods out there
In this session, we will explore thick and thin spinning, plying, and using mulberry silk lap in our art yarns. We'll also experiment with special effects by incorporating long, curly Teeswater or Wensleydale locks. Plus, we'll spin mohair and other curly breeds straight from the lock and discover how to add fun inclusions to our yarns,
Join us to start creating stunning, unique yarns perfect for weaving, knitting, and even couching and trimming. Don't forget to bring your wheel and some empty bobbins--get ready to unleash your creativity!

Students should bring:   Students must bring: Spinning wheel with at least three empty bobbins, large flyer recommended, Various Fiber: batts, combed tops, locks threads for plying ***It's also highly recommended that you bring your own comfortable seating***

Homework:  Empty at least three bobbins before class and bring them with you

Material fee: $25 - Covers: a class kit which includes various fibers. locks. and a laminated reference card
