#141 Joan Sheridan —Rock Wrapping Evening Wednesday $50
#141 Joan Sheridan —Rock Wrapping Wednesday Evening 6-9pm Bldg 10 South $50
Skill level: All levels welcome
Workshop Description: Michiganders love their rocks. Joan has been a collector since she was toddler and became fascinated with this very zen activity a number of years ago. It is fun to do, easy enough to share with kids and grandchildren, and very satisfying. Materials used include linen, hemp and cotton yarns, leather cording, twigs, and other found objects. Once created, they are fun to discover on your windowsill, in your rock garden or as an accent to that bowl of rocks in a candy dish. Bring your rocks and your inner child and learn how to create rock memories.
Students should bring: If you have special rocks (palm-sized and odd shapes work well) and would like to bring them, please do so. You may also have beads or "fetishes" you'd like to include.
Homework: Gather up any items you may like to incorporate in your rock wrapping, including a small stick or piece of driftwood (2-3 inches long).
Material Fee: $15 Includes: All wrapping materials. A selection of rocks will be available if students do not bring their own.
Class Limit: 12
