Workshop Description: From shoelaces to lanyards to hoodie ties and more, there are myriad ways to use round cords made on the inkle. In this class you will learn about S and Z twist, how to beat the yarn in a band that is woven spirally, how to manage your sheds and learn about various finishing techniques. Students will warp their own looms and begin to weave a fabric tube of their own design. Students must be able to warp and weave a plain weave band, this is not a class for learning to weave on an inkle loom.
Students should bring: Working inkle loom, scissors, shuttle (a smaller size is easier), colored pencils.

Material Fee: $15 Includes: Handout, three balls of 5/2 cotton, aglets.
