Workshop Description:  In the English county of Dorset, shepherds cut rings from the horns of their Horned Dorset sheep to turn into fashionable buttons in the style called Crosswheel. Now we have transformed these workaday accessories into fashionable pins, earrings, bracelets, and other jewelry by using glitzy threads and decorative wraps. Learn how to adapt the basic button form into creative personalized jewelry!

Students should bring:

Your glasses if you wear them for close work. Water to drink. A health mask if you wish. Battery operated extra lighting if you wish.

Homework:  None. 

Material fee: $15  Includes decorative threads, rings, fabrics, needles and thread, and monograph.
