Skill level:  Beginner

Workshop Description:  Learn the ancient Nordic art of Naalbinding while making a useful and warm pair of mittens. Naalbinding is the oldest form of looped garment construction known. It is done with a large needle. Class participants will learn one of the many stitches (the most useful) to produce these mittens. Other stitches will be discussed and tried as time allows. We will use a lovely, easy to work with, 100% wool yarn. This technique is very adaptable, portable and fun.

Students should bring:  A hand towel (honest, you'll be glad you did)

Homework:  None

Material Fee:  $27  Includes naalbinding needle, yarn, written instructions and patterns
