Kris has been in the world of art for over 35 years with the last 9 being focused on the world of fiber. She and her business partner own alk&me fiber art studio, an indie dye company based out of Ohio and they travel the Midwest and East Coast to vend at fiber festivals. In their off season, Kris teaches dye and weaving workshops out of their studio and also teaches various spinning workshops at her local LYS. She is an enthusiast and energetic instructor who is passionate about helping others learn all they can about the fiber world. Her spinning has won numerous awards, including best of show at fiber festivals.
