#534 Roiana Buckmaster – Intermediate Shuttle Tatting Half day Sunday 1-4pm Bldg 9 Center $50
Skill level: Intermediate Students must be able to tat a ring.
Workshop Description:
For those who have mastered shuttle tatting rings, it is time to add chains! In this class, students will learn to add a second thread from the ball and use two threads to make chains and rings, forming a continuous length of lace edging or more complicated medallions than rings alone. We will learn: tatting over tails to begin the work; dropping the shuttle through the ring before closing (and why); adding a new thread and hiding the old and new ends; front and backside tatting; hiding thread ends with floss loops for a tidy finish. Materials and instructions are also included to turn the sample into a bookmark.
Students should bring: Patience and a sense of humor
Homework: None.
Material fee: $20 Includes all class supplies including a shuttle for students to keep.
