#400 Nicole Gillies —Felt Table Runner: A Study in Surface Design   Full Day Saturday 9am-4pm  Bldg 9 South $100

Workshop Description:  This class will go over felting from the beginning, but with a lot of other techniques thrown in. Surface design in felting is such an important aspect of this medium, and this class will go over nuno-felting, using additives like prefelt, yarn, and silk, cutting and healing holes, creating 3D elements and more all on a beautiful one-of-a-kind table runner that you can display in your home. Students will get to play and design using wet felting as a guide.

Students should bring:  Old towels, a bucket.

Material Fee: $30   Includes: Merino Wool, sari silk, yarn, additives, plastic sheeting, soap, sponges, resist material, neps and curls.
